Exploration and Production
We began our exploration and production efforts in 1971 with a successful well completion in LeFlore County, Oklahoma. Since then, we have participated in thousands of wells across several states and are the current operator of over 550 properties. We also own non-operated interests in more than 1,100 other properties and control more than 100,000 acres of undeveloped leasehold in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah.
We employ a balanced approach to achieving continued oil and natural gas reserve growth through a prudent mix of exploration, development, and acquisition. Our most recent, and ongoing, activity involves participation as a non-operator in wells across our diverse acreage position in the STACK and SCOOP plays of central Oklahoma. We have also successfully pursued strategic PDP acquisitions, with follow-on production enhancements, in the Arkoma Basin of Eastern Oklahoma.
Our experienced technical staff of engineers, geologists, and landmen are capable of evaluating opportunities in a variety of geological provinces for exploration and production potential. Applying traditional methods and new technologies, the professional staff in our Exploration and Production group continues to develop prospects throughout its historical areas of interest in the Arkoma and Anadarko Basins in Oklahoma, and the Uinta Basin in Utah. With our financial strength, operational experience, and streamlined decision making, we take pride in our well-earned reputation as an excellent industry partner.
