Mechanic

Job Summary

Responsible for service, maintenance and repair of all plant and field equipment. Work is performed primarily in the field with extensive travel from well-site to well-site and plant to plant.

Responsibilities

• Replaces engine and compressor oil and filter elements as recommended by manufacturer
• Replaces spark plugs and sets engine valves as required
• Services ignition systems air cleaners as needed
• Checks fuel pressure, fuel filter and changes fuel filter at least once per year as set in preventive maintenance schedule
• Inspects, cleans, and checks lubricator controls
• Inspects cooler drive belts for wear and proper tension and drains scrubbers and checks oil dump controls
• Repairs all minor oil leaks
• Records operating conditions and valve discharge temperatures on compressors with unit under load
• Maintains assigned tools and vehicles
• Performs all duties in a safe manner and reports unsafe conditions to supervisor
• Other duties as assigned.
