Corporate Receptionist

Job Summary

The Corporate Receptionist will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to clients, visitors, and other guests of the organization. This position will answer incoming calls and direct callers to appropriate staff members and distribute incoming mail and FedEx/UPS packages. The role will also provide administrative support to various departments as needed.


  • Answer incoming calls and direct callers to appropriate staff members and distribute incoming mail and packages
  • Promptly greet clients, visitors, and guests with direct eye contact and a smile
  • Determine the purpose of each person’s visit and contact the appropriate Mustang employee to meet their guest
  • Maintain the reception area which includes checking on guests, offering beverages, and light cleaning
  • Direct all visitors to sign in on the front desk kiosk
  • Check the voicemail system each morning for previous night’s calls and forward all voicemail messages to the appropriate employee’s mailbox
  • Ensure proper coverage of the desk when it is necessary to leave the area
  • Regular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work location
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed


  • Possess strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Previous experience working in a reception or front desk environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • A professional phone and personal presentation
  • Ability to change priorities quickly, follow directions, and report to work at the specified scheduled hour
  • Ability to remain composed and handle questions or concerns in a courteous manner
  • Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems
  • Excellent communication skills
