Primary Function

Ensuring safety for travel including weather, NOTAMs, fuel, oil, oxygen and all other requirements including flight planning; Ensuring airworthiness, proper registration and documentation are on board the aircraft; Ensuring compliance with customs, immigration and cabotage laws; Ensuring requirements are met for crew members such as valid licenses, medical certifications, passports, and visas when required;  Completing daily aircraft pre-flight inspections as well as general walk-arounds before all departures and determining the weight and balance of the aircraft. Briefing passengers as required by law.  Operating aircraft in accordance with procedures and aircraft limitations.  Completing all post flight duties, including notification of any itinerary or overnight location deviations; and recording flight times and aircraft defects. Other duties as assigned by the Director.
