Sr Midstream Accounting Analyst

Primary Function

The position of Senior Midstream Accounting Analyst will perform the accounting processes and procedures for producer allocations and settlements, as well as conduct and oversee the analysis of financial planning, modeling and evaluation of gas contracts and midstream metrics.  Gather, create and edit monthly data (pricing, volumes, meters, contracts, producer structure) to perform Quorum TIPS Module allocations and settlement.  Responsible for accounting duties pertaining to midstream operations including, sales, measurement, allocations, contract terms, pricing, payments to producers, taxes, imbalances, invoicing, and cash receipts.  Evaluate gas analysis data received from field personnel, reviewing for reasonableness and the timely periodic updates to analysis based on contract terms.  Other duties may be assigned.      

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IRS rules and regulations.

Excellent analytical skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

Five to ten years of energy industry experience in public/private accounting required, financial accounting and modeling experience, preferred.  A minimum of five years progressive experience.  Quorum and SAP experience a plus; must have strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as well as IRS rules and regulations as they apply to the oil and gas industry.
