Mustang Fuel Corporation began its exploration and production
efforts in 1971 with a successful well completion in LeFlore
County, Oklahoma. In the following thirty plus years Mustang
has participated in over 1,800 wells across several states
and is the current operator of over 200 properties. It also
owns non-operated interests in more than 700 other properties
and controls more than 50,000 net acres of undeveloped leasehold
throughout its areas of interest.
While reserve growth is accomplished
primarily through the drill bit, Mustang is also committed
to pursuing strategic acquisitions. These efforts are
focused heavily on adding natural gas reserves, which
currently account for roughly 90% of Mustang’s
production and reserve base.
Applying traditional methods and new technologies,
the professional staff in Mustang’s Exploration
and Production group continues to develop prospects
in its historical areas of interest in the Arkoma
and Anadarko Basins of Oklahoma, and the Uintah Basin
of Utah. |

To achieve continued reserve growth through
a prudent mix of exploration, development, and acquisition,
Mustang’s technical staff of engineers, geologists,
geophysicists, and landmen are devoted to generating
prospects, reviewing third party exploration and acquisition
opportunities, and evaluating other geological provinces
for exploration potential. With its financial strength,
operational experience, and streamlined decision making,
Mustang takes pride in its well earned reputation as
an excellent industry partner. |
